Cards for Good Causes has returned to Haslemere, with duo Bob and Maggie Monteath offering you the chance to support an amazing 51 charities as well as our local community with every purchase.
Completely run by 50 volunteers, the shop in Haslemere Museum might not be the biggest Cards for Good Causes in the country, but it is the most profitable.
“It is the gift that gives twice,” said Maggie.
Mayor Oliver Leach cut the red ribbon at the shop's launch. He said: “It’s lovely to be here to support such a worthwhile organisation. I would be delighted if our town could support it with their usual amazing fervour.”
Buying cards has raised more than £22.5 million for hundreds of charities and provided £2.7 million to local churches, libraries, and community projects.
The shop will be open until Christmas Eve, and with the cost-of-living crisis hitting those with less hardest, buy a card and, together, we can make a lasting impact this Christmas.
