RYAN Wilson, a former junior and senior player for Farnham Rugby Club, has been named in the Scotland squad for the Rugby World Cup.
He follows in the footsteps of Jonny Wilkinson and Peter Richards, also former Farnham players, who went on to win international honours.
Wilson, a loose forward, plays for Glasgow Warriors in the Guinness Pro12 league.
Like Wilkinson and Richards, he went to Lord Wandsworth College, near Alton, a school that has a proud tradition for producing gifted rugby players. Before that, Wilson, 26, attended Frensham Heights, a non-rugby playing school. He already has ten Scotland caps.
