Farnham Town drew 2-2 at League Two outfit Rochdale in a pre-season friendly.

The Dale nearly took the lead in the second minute when Mani Dieseruvwe’s strike was saved by Farnham keeper Michael Eacott. Rochdale did go ahead on eight minutes when Dieseruvwe poked home.

The Town almost got back on level terms in the 18th minute when Billy Clifford’s effort was saved by Dale keeper Sam Waller.

Farnham went close again on 25 minutes when Owen Dean spotted Waller off his line, but his effort from distance went wide.

The Town equalised in the 38th minute when Rakish Bingham spotted Waller off his line and fired his effort into the back of the net from just inside Rochdale’s half.

Farnham went ahead on 70 minutes when Trae Cook-Appiah’s long throw bounced into the path of Dan Bayliss at the back post, who headed home.

Rochdale equalised in the 82nd minute when Ian Henderson headed home from a corner.
