Eleven Farnham Roller Hockey Club players have capped off an eventful summer by attending two England Roller Hockey academy camps.

Run by Carlos Amaral, the England director of development, the high-intensity camps offered input from a national coaching setup. The elite staff included the England coaching director, the England under-17 male coach and the England under-17 female coach. Adding to the coaching staff in camp one was Callum Piper, Farnham’s under-17 coach and Premier League goalkeeper.

Across the two camps, Farnham’s 11 attending players were privileged to learn directly from such a wealth of tactical knowledge and on-rink insight.

During the initial camp, six Farnham players took to the rink – five outfield players and one goalkeeper. Among the standout performers were the talented sibling duo of Sienna Morgan, who earned a well-deserved Player of the Day award, and Marley Morgan, who was named Player of the Camp.

The momentum carried seamlessly into the second camp, which featured an all-female lineup of five Farnham players, demonstrating the growing depth of the local girls' game. Farnham players swept both top awards in the second camp, with Annabel Page winning Player of the Camp for session three and Lois Bradshaw taking Player of the Camp for session four.

Coaches and organisers praised all the participants for their exemplary hard work and sportsmanship.

To round off the summer break, many Farnham players will take part in one final preparation camp to sharpen their skills and fitness before the new season starts on Sunday, August 30.
