GARDENERS and community-minded residents have been urged to back a blooming wonderful scheme that will brighten up roadside verges around Whitehill and Bordon.

Licenses are being offered to people who would like to plant wildflower seeds on an adopted verge with March and April being the best times to sow.

The scheme has the support of Whitehill Town Council as they’re keen to increase biodiversity and wildflower areas around its patch.

They were behind the wildflowers planted in the middle of the Conde Way roundabout while they also established meadows in Jubilee Park and land next to the Bordon Inclosure car park.

Cllr Linda Delve, chair of the town council’s greenspaces sub-committee, says WTC is doing its upmost to brighten up the town through wildflower floral displays.
