A village pub in East Hampshire is to remain in the hands of familiar faces despite its sale to an Oxfordshire-based brewing giant.
The Royal Exchange in Lindford was recently acquired by Breakspear Pub Company from Farnham-based New Dawn Pubs.
But existing general manager Amy Pieri and her management team, Chloe King and Aaron Morris, have signed a tenancy agreement, promising that The Royal Exchange will "continue to be the beating heart of Lindford".
Amy said: “We’re absolutely delighted to secure the future of Lindford’s village pub, The Royal Exchange. This pub has been a cornerstone of Lindford for generations, and we’re incredibly proud to take the reins and build upon its legacy for years to come.”
The announcement comes eight years after a successful 'Save Our Pub' campaign led by local resident Karen Lynch prevented The Royal Exchange from closure and demolition.
With Brakspear Pub Company’s backing, The Royal Exchange is set for exciting new developments including new beers, such as Oxford Gold and Gravity joining the taps, alongside new food menus to tantalise taste buds.
