Children can hunt for fairy doors, press birdsong buttons, play in a mud kitchen and hear stories in a tent at the Mini Explorers Club.

Lydia Bradburn-Smith and Jade Smith opened the outdoor art and nature club in a private wood at Chawton Park Farm in Alton last September.

Parents can drop off their children and do something else – the club has partnerships with The French Horn, Dill and Alton Sports Centre – or stay to enjoy the fun.

Hot drinks, hot running water, nappy changing facilities and toilets are all provided.

Lydia and Jade said: “We are providing opportunities for outdoor play and learning, which we are both so passionate about.

“We have done a lot of research into the physical and mental health benefits for children of spending time outdoors.”

The club is for children aged three and above. For details see www.miniexplorersclub.co.uk
