Grayshott Folk Club proudly presents Rachael McShane & The Cartographers on Saturday, October 19 at 7.30pm at Grayshott Village Hall as part of their album launch tour.
Rachael McShane, a celebrated folk singer, cellist, was a former member of award-winning folk band Bellowhead, which won a staggering eight BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. Rachael now leads The Cartographers, which features guitarist Ian Stephenson and melodeon player Julian Sutton. Together, they fuse traditional folk with contemporary sounds, showcasing Rachael's powerful vocals and instrumental skills.
Their debut album,When All Is Still, earned critical acclaim for its modern take on folk classics. Rachael continues to innovate, contributing to projects like the reimagined The Transports, collaborating with top folk artists making her a much sought-after artist.
