A 32-year-old man from Petersfield has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was found in Portsmouth on Thursday morning.
A murder investigation was launched after the body of 32-year-old Samantha Murphy was found in a house in Wadham Road in the North End area of the city at 7.37am.
A 32-year-old man from Havant was also arrested on suspicion of murder with the pair remaining in police custody at the time of writing.
Samantha’s death is currently being treated as suspicious and investigations are ongoing, with the victim’s being informed and supported by officers.

Police want to track down a gold suitcase, which could be in the Portsmouth area, as it may assist with their investigation.
