I believe one of the reasons the current Government is so keen on new housing developments, which are being forced on local communities, is because the developers who build these new housing estates are helping to bankroll the Conservative party!
If there was ever a conflict of interest this is it!
Also consider this.
When asked in a letter, whether the 20 per cent rate of VAT on household extensions for ordinary families could be reduced from 20 per cent to 10 per cent and the rate of VAT on new build individual houses and residential housing developments be increased from 0 per cent to 10 per cent, to be equitable, Jeremy Hunt, our very own MP, would not support it.
Can you imagine why?
Could it possibly be because the Government he is a part of, does not want to upset the very developers who keep the Conservative Party financially afloat.
Leaving ordinary families to pay the full whack of VAT while unbelievably wealthy developers avoid it.
Gives you a good idea where Conservative priorities lie…
