THE granting of a funding wish will allow an East Hampshire theatre company to bring its pantomime to Bordon.
The £500 awarded to the Whitehill & Bordon Community Association will help Pumpkin Pantos to lift the curtain on its Christmas pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, in the Forest Community Centre.
The grant was one of several totalling £4,300 dished out by Whitehill Town Council’s executive committee at its October 12 meeting.
Others included £200 to Victim Support and £650 to Hollywater School to facilitate family and alumni events at the Forest Community Centre.
A spokesman said: “These events are so important for our alumni students and families, allowing the Hollywater School leavers to maintain friendships for the future.”
Whitehill & Bordon Football Club was also awarded £3,000 to buy portable floodlights so its adult and juniors can train during winter months and at times that can suit parents and players.
