Locals will be able to celebrate the beauty of the South Downs at an upcoming exhibition.

The Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery will display nearly 150 works that draw inspiration from across the South Downs region by more than 120 artists. It will run from October 22 to February 1 next year.

The exhibition has been selected from an open call to artists and pieces will be available to purchase to support local talent.

Louise Weller, head of collections and exhibition, said: “It has been a great pleasure curating an exhibition with my fellow judges that showcases the incredible creative talent in Hampshire, Sussex and beyond.”

Visitors can enjoy paintings, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, textiles and ceramics. Depicting scenes from across the South Downs from Winchester Hill in Hampshire to Beachy Head, in East Sussex.
