A PETERSFIELD group which has been on the ropes for much of December is taking a breather after ringing in the new year.

East Hampshire bin collections to shift over Christmas and New YearYoung bell-ringer Katherine Wilkins had the honour of ringing the first 12 strokes at St Peter’s to announce the new year before her bandmates joined in with rounds.
The event completed a busy festive season for the group which included a candlelit service of nine lessons, anthems and carols on Christmas morning.
