A Petersfield business that has been running since 1991 has received the royal seal of approval.
Hi-Level Mezzanines was recognised for its work in innovation in The King’s Awards for Enterprise earlier this year. In a recent ceremony, the team were given the official trophy and parchment by the Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire Nigel Atkinson ESQ and Deputy-Lieutenant Maggie Carver.
Mr Atkinson said: “I've lived in Petersfield for 40 years and I've been giving out these awards for 13 years all over Hampshire. This was one place I did not need to get a map for.
“My first job is to congratulate Hi-Level Mezzanines on being granted a King's Award for Enterprise in innovation. I was amazed at the growth you've achieved since you started back in 1991.
“Designing, manufacturing and installing over 19,000 floors. I saw you had two priorities: staff and customers. You can't go wrong if you get those two right.”
The company designs and installs mezzanine floors for top brands including Amazon, Ocado, Tesco, ASOS, Next and DPD.
Its IQD software, which was recognised in the award, designs options and quotations within a matter of minutes due to more than 10 years of innovation and more than £1 million investment.
Co-founder Paul Alexander said: “It is a moment of significant pride to join with everyone who has supported and witnessed this remarkable journey which started with my colleague and co-founder, Derek Quail in the 80s. This award represents relentless effort, hard work and perseverance in the pursuit of greatness.”
The event was well attended with town mayor Cllr Lesley Farrow and people from across the UK and as far as Poland. The business was one of nine company winners from Hampshire, contributing to a total of around 37 company recipients in the South East region.
