THE A339 Alton to Basingstoke road was closed last Friday when an HGV overturned at the junction with Hackwood Lane at Herriard.

The emergency services were called to the scene around 2.10pm after the lorry was believed to have crashed into roadside trees. No other vehicles were involved.

According to the police, a male driver suffered minor injuries which were treated at the scene by South Central Ambulance Service.
