This Saturday June 24 shops in Petersfield are celebrating Shop Independent Day.

Laura Hayward, owner of Refill and Replenish, said: "Since Covid, Brexit and now the cost of living crisis, independent businesses have been really struggling and quite a lot have closed already.

"We need everyone to shop local, be it just £1 or more to help the high streets to survive, otherwise the high street independents will die out, which will have an impact on the local economy in the long run."

Ms Hayward understands that shopping in the high street may not be as convenient as shopping online, but hopes that people will come along this Saturday and help keep Petersfield's high street alive.
