In America, Haslewey Community Centre would be celebrating its 21st birthday with a glass of champagne, but in Haslemere, it is hosting a Community Fair to mark its anniversary.

The community centre is at the heart of Haslemere – and not just because it sits opposite Lion Green. The Fair has become a staple in the town’s calendar and will be officially opened by Haslemere Mayor Oliver Leach and introduced by Town Crier Christian Ashdown on September 28, from 11am to 3pm.

For more than two decades, Haslewey has been a cornerstone of the Haslemere & District community, offering a wide array of activities, services, and events. The upcoming fair will feature a diverse range of stalls showcasing crafts and produce from local businesses. Stalls are available for hire at £25 each, with a discounted rate of £20 for charities.

The Haslewey Team will be serving a selection of freshly prepared cakes, baked savouries and sweet treats from the café, alongside  together a BBQ – kindly sponsored by Tesco, Haslemere. The popular Dylan’s Ice Cream Van will also be on site.

Children’s activities will include the exciting Backyard Bug Experience, along with visits from The Pony Pals Family and an on-site face painter. The Haslemere Fire Engine will also be there for children to explore.

Haslewey offers everything from drama and dance classes to professional podiatry and counselling services, with the Fair having something for everyone to enjoy.
