Haslemere Museum was filled with festive cheer as it held its annual volunteers’ Christmas party last week. The museum couldn’t provide its services to the community and preservation of cultural heritage without the valuable support of its volunteers.
“The museum is indebted to its wonderful volunteers and it was lovely to wish them all a Merry Christmas,” said Melanie Odell, museum chairman.
All the volunteers undertake a wide variety of roles, from greeting visitors on the front desk or gardening, to helping to catalogue the museum’s collections.
There is lots on at the museum this new year, from exhibitions including Haslemere Through The Centuries, to events like the Big Garden Birdwatch where children and adults can make bird cakes, art and discover birds in the museum galleries.
