PROJECTS which have enhanced Petersfield as a place to live and work will be highlighted at a milestone meeting next week.
The presentation of the 2023 Owl Award will be among the highlights when The Petersfield Society holds its Annual General Meeting and awards ceremony at the United Reformed Church on Monday, September 18.
They’ve also booked a great speaker as Margaret Paren, Chair of CPRE Hampshire and former chairman of the South Downs National Park Authority, will give a presentation.
The Owl Award trophy, designed and produced by George Taylor of The Edward Barnsley Workshop, is awarded to a group, project or person that has made a significant contribution to the character of Petersfield and/or its surrounding villages.
There’s some very worthy nominees with the Love Lane skatepark expansion, Winton House Centre, Shine Radio and ‘water meadow to people meadow’ projects all impressing judges.
Doors at the College Street venue will open at 6.45pm for a 7.45pm start with wine and soft drinks being served, non-members welcome.
