East Hampshire District Council has received £1million from the government towards its community farm.
The Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities gave the cash, via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, to Grow Up!, which aims to support the rural economy, bring people together and help them connect with their environment. The council has also asked the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for £490,000.
