Farnham Foodbank will be accepting food donations outside Waitrose in Lion & Lamb Yard, Farnham, this Saturday.
The charity's volunteers will be in the yard between 10am and 2pm, and have shared a list of their most in-demand items.
These include: small jars of coffee, tinned fish, tinned sausages, tinned potatoes, instant mash potato, long life sponge puddings, jam and long life fruit juice.
Harriet Lanyon, Farnham Foodbank project manager, said: "The number of people relying on emergency food parcels greatly increased during Covid and has never returned to pre-pandemic levels.
"Rising prices, static incomes and high unemployment are having a real impact on people who are finding it harder to afford even the basic essentials for daily life so are turning to the Foodbank for help.
"We want to make sure no one in Farnham is forced to go hungry to do this we are asking the local community for help!
"Please come and support the Farnham Foodbank at Waitrose on Saturday, March 25 between 10am and 2pm."
