As part of Farnham Craft Month and the international Big Draw Festival, the Farnham Art and Design Education Group (FADEG) is running free art events at The Maltings Festival of Crafts this Saturday and Sunday, and at the New Ashgate Gallery on October 25 and 26.
Enjoy all the fun of the fair as The Big Draw Festival theme for 2023 is Drawing with Senses. Explore the way we personally process the world.
Look at the five basic senses – touch, sight, sound, taste and smell – and experiment with these and those you are less familiar with to transpose your experiences into creative work and drawings.
Join in and be part of The world’s biggest community of drawing enthusiasts. No previous experience is necessary.
FADEG aims to promote the importance of art in all our lives in a range of contexts and on this occasion Gerri Besgrove, a renowned local artist and printmaker, will be leading the workshops, suitable for all ages.
She promises to make it lots of fun as you take part in activities, with guidance, suggested by each of the five senses, and all with a Victorian fairground as a backdrop. For more information, email FADEG chairman Graham Mollart at [email protected] or Gerri Besgrove at [email protected]
