IT’S all systems go at Barrow Hills School, Witley, which is celebrating a 100 per cent pass rate in the Common Entrance exam.

Year eight pupils impressed their teachers, by all passing the demanding exam required for admission to an independent senior school. In addition, 13 of those taking the exam gained scholarships.

Barrow Hills pupils are now heading in the autumn to Charterhouse, Churchers College, Cranleigh, Frensham Heights, King Edward’s Witley, Lord Wandsworth College, St Catherine’s Bramley, Seaford College, Worth and the International School of Helsinki.

To celebrate the children’s success, the school catering team created a special lunch and a congratulatory cake, which went down a treat.

Praising their achievements, headmaster Sean Skehan said: “We are once again extremely proud of our children, who have all worked so hard and are entirely deserving of these excellent results which have gained them all entrance to their first choice of senior schools.

“While we will of course be sad to see them leave Barrow Hills, we are certain they will continue to achieve great things in their new schools.

“We wish them every happiness as they embark upon the next important stage of their lives.”
