A MAN suffered serious injury in a crash on the Winchester to Alresford stretch of the A31 on Tuesday.
Police, firefighters and ambulances were called at around 12.30pm following a collision between a van and a Land Rover on the road between the Alresford roundabout and Orm’s Field.
South Central Ambulance Service sent two rapid response vehicles, a road ambulance and the air ambulance to the scene.
The male driver of the Land Rover was trapped in his vehicle with severe leg injuries and was taken to Royal Hampshire County Hospital at Winchester. The van driver was also taken to hospital.
A spokesman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said the road was closed and diversions put in place.
