Little Lumpy Cycling Sportive has pedalled its way to another fundraising success after raising more than £4,300 for Haslewey Community Centre.

The annual event has been running for more than 15 years, raising thousands of pounds for charities and community organisations in the Haslemere area while attracting cyclists of all abilities.

More than 350 riders tackled routes through the Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex countryside, taking on everything from rolling hills to the challenging climbs of the South Downs.

Organised entirely by volunteers, Little Lumpy welcomes cyclists of all abilities and has become one of the area's best-supported sporting events.

In 2026, organisers chose Haslewey Community Centre as one of the event's beneficiary charities alongside Haslemere Festival.

Following the event, organiser Jon Mills presented Haslewey with a cheque for £4,322.40, which will support the centre's work in the community.

Haslewey, opposite Lion Green, has served the community for 23 years, offering a café, Post Office, meeting rooms, health and wellbeing services, and a wide range of activities for people of all ages.

The Haslewey team thanked everyone who helped make the fundraising total possible, including the volunteers who organised and ran the event, local supporters who donated, and the more than 350 cyclists who took part.

Jon Mills said he was proud to hand over the cheque after another successful year for the sportive.

The donation continues Little Lumpy's long tradition of supporting organisations that play an important role in the Haslemere community, providing another welcome boost for one of the town's best-loved community hubs.
