A SILVER Audi has been linked to a string of vehicle break-ins around Petersfield and the southern parishes.

Butser police are seeking CCTV images as tools have been stolen from at least two vans over the last fortnight.

One of the most recent incidents took place around 3.30am last Friday in Queens Road in Petersfield when a would-be thief was caught drilling a hole in a van.

The culprit, who was disturbed by the van’s owner, left in a silver car with similar incidents being reported in Clanfield and Horndean.
