A teaching assistant at St Lawrence Primary School in Alton has been recognised for her 25 years of service.
Everyone at the school wanted to congratulate Karen Smy for her dedication and loyalty to the school and Hampshire County Council.
Karen has worked as a teaching assistant at St Lawrence for the past 25 years. She has impacted many children with her support, love and encouragement.
Karen said: “I have loved every minute of my time so far at St Lawrence, seeing the children grow in every way.
“The children always put a smile on my face when I listen to their stories and jokes or they are showing me their latest dance moves or singing their made up songs.
“There are so many special memories.”
The head boy and head girl presented Karen with flowers and cards from the staff and children of St Lawrence. The parent-teacher association also held a fair trade cafe in her honour too.
St Lawrence Primary School received an award from the Fischer Family Trust (FFT) as the school is in the top 25 per cent of all FFT primary schools in England.
