Refurbishments of the gym facilities across three Waverley leisure centres, representing a £1 million investment, are now complete.
Everyone Active, which manages Haslemere, Farnham and Godalming leisure centres on behalf of Waverley Borough Council, says the renovations mark a new milestone for members.
The improvements include brand new fitness equipment, alongside new contemporary décor, lighting and flooring to create a more inspiring environment.
To cater for increased demand for strength training, state-of-the-art equipment has been introduced across the three sites, including plate loaded resistance kit and cable stations.
In addition, the cardiovascular sections have been revamped, now offering new equipment such as stair climbers, rowers, Watt Bikes and a Skill Mill, to improve members’ workout experience.
Farnham Leisure Centre was the last of the three centres to reopen its gym facilities last Friday, December 1.
David Love, area contract manager at Everyone Active, said: "We are absolutely delighted to showcase the remarkable transformation that these extensive renovations have brought to our leisure centres.
“This £1 million investment has not only transformed our leisure centres physically but has elevated them into vibrant community hubs which we hope will pay dividends for years to come.
"We encourage the public to come down and see the incredible changes for themselves. Our doors are wide open, and we welcome everyone to experience the upgraded facilities firsthand.”
Councillor Kika Mirylees, Waverley's portfolio holder for community services, leisure and EDI, said: “This is a great investment in the health and wellbeing of our community and I hope that it will encourage more residents to enjoy the benefits of physical activity but also, importantly, enjoy the social side of being a member of one of our leisure centres."
