Surrey Police have reopened Long Bridge in Farnham hours after a pedestrian was hit by a car on Monday morning.

The road was closed between the Union Road/Downing Street junction and Firgrove Hill for much of Monday morning and afternoon after the incident was reported at around 9.50am.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital after the collision involving a red Honda Jazz.

Police investigators remained on the scene after the victim was taken away by road ambulance.
